A quick update.  I changed the colors at least 25 times.  I'm starting to see a pattern in my palette.

This started off as a study in shape, turned into a speed painting.

Lego inspiration

I find myself being influenced more and more by Legos.   Here are a couple of sketches I've done over the past couple of days.  I'm trying to keep the shapes simple and consistent.
